Inter-Club competitions

 

Club members have the opportunity to play in a wide range of competitions.  

  

 Northern Suburbs Tennis Association competitions

 

  • Saturday afternoon pairs mini-comps: comps are held in summer and winter, each of 5 weeks duration. The format is either 3 sets of doubles or 2 sets of doubles and 1 set of singles each.

 

  • Saturday afternoon mixed/mens long comps: One comp is held in autumn and one in spring, each of 10 weeks duration, with semis and finals. Mixed teams are 2 men and 2 women, each playing 4 sets through the afternoon. Mens teams are 3 men, also each playing 4 sets through the afternoon. 

 

 

 
  • Sunday morning pairs comps: One comp is held each school term. Players graded B2 and below play from 8-10:30 am and players graded B1 and above play from 10:30 am - 1pm. The format is 2 sets of doubles and 1 set of singles each.

 

  • Friday evening junior pairs comp: One comp is held each school term. The format is 2 sets of doubles and 1 set of singles each.

 

 

 

Sydney Badge competitions

 

  • The Club enters teams in the autumn Sydney Badge competiton which involves playing other clubs throughout Sydney. This is the most prestigious and competitive inter club competition available. It runs from March to July each year.

 

  • There are separate competitions for men and women. The format is 4 players each playing four sets of doubles in an afternoon.
       

   

Club Championships

 

The Club conducts annual Club Championships for all members. Events include Mens and Womens Open Singles, Mens, Womens and Mixed Doubles and various handicap and consolation events in both singles and doubles. The Club has an impressive roll of past Club Champions, including several who have gone on to play professionally and to represent Australia.
